S.A.G.E. is a sativa-leaning hybrid from Amsterdam's T.H. Seeds, crossing Big Sur Holy Weed, a California coastal heritage sativa, with an Afghani line; the acronym stands for Sativa Afghani Genetic Equilibrium, a literal description of the breeding goal. Released in the nineteen-nineties, it collected competition placements around the turn of the millennium by breeder and period account, and its sage-like aroma made the name a double meaning.
