Querkle

Querkle is an indica-dominant hybrid from Subcool's TGA Genetics, released in the mid-2000s as the label's grape-forward purple project. It crosses Purple Urkle, the California purple staple, with the breeder's Space Queen male, the same stud behind much of the TGA catalog. Like its catalog siblings, Querkle benefits from TGA's openly documented lineage records, and it remains a reference name for grape-candy profiles from the pre-dessert era.

Profile

Buds are typically dense and rounded, deep green flushed with violet, and carry a bright, fine frost. The aroma is commonly described as grape candy and dark berry over a light floral musk, with the grape note deepening as flower finishes. Flavor tends toward sweet grape with a soft, earthy exhale. Myrcene, linalool, and caryophyllene are among the terpenes most frequently reported in lab testing of flower sold under this name. The grape expression is generally regarded as among the truest of its generation.
