Passion #1 is an indica-leaning hybrid published by Dutch Passion as a selection developed from Californian outdoor stock acquired in the late 1970s and released in the 1980s among the seedbank's founding cultivars. It was bred for reliable outdoor finishing at northern European latitudes, a rarity at the time, and it remains in the Dutch Passion catalogue decades later. The cultivar is regularly cited alongside Purple #1 and Hollands Hope as part of the first generation of purpose-built Dutch outdoor lines.
