Jack the Ripper is a mid-2000s release from Subcool's TGA Genetics and long served as the label's flagship sativa-leaning hybrid. It crosses Jack's Cleaner, a lemon-heavy hybrid with Jack Herer ancestry by common account, with the breeder's Space Queen male, whose parents are commonly given as Romulan and Cinderella 99. Subcool, who died in 2020, built TGA on open lineage documentation, so Jack the Ripper's family tree is unusually well recorded for its era, and the strain remains a touchstone for sharp lemon terpene profiles.
